Canadian Pole Sports and Arts Federation – CPSAF a national Pole Sports and Arts federation. CPSAF is a non profit organization. It was founded in 2015 as the Atlantic Aerial Art championship and has grown to be a national organization.The Federation is a member of the Pole Sports and Arts World Federation (POSA), is one of the international governing bodies for pole sports and the host of the World Pole Sport Competition in FInland (2019) and the Pole Art Worlds in Canada (2020). The CPSAF is part of the push to get Pole Sports recognized globally as a sport and the eventual inclusion into the Olympic Games.

The mission of CPSAF is to regulate, administer and develop Pole Sports for the benefit of thousands of athletes at every level and age in Canada.Our Objectives

  • To advance, promote, and protect the character, status and interests of Pole Sports across CANADA.
  • To work alongside the POSA to develop standardized rules governing regional competitions.
  • To enforce Codes of Conduct and Standards of Ethics for both athletes and officials.
  • To advise and assist the CPSAF Regional Member Bodies and the Associate Members in the administration of Pole Sports in their regions and organizations.
  • To represent CANADA and Pole Sports in the Olympic Movement.

The CPSAF amends its governing documents regularly, reviewing the Statutes and complementing the Competition Rules with pertinent codes and regulations in line with the POSA.

CPSAF StructureDemocratic describes the style of governance and the structure of CPSAF. On the operational level, the Executive Board – made up of the President, First Vice President, and Treasurer -our General Board made up of the Athlete's director, Fundraising Director, Aerial Director, Sports Director, and secretary, tends to the day-to-day running of the federation. The committee is supported in its task by the Athlete's Voice Committee, standing commissions, by advisers and consultants, and by the administration.Our VisionWe hope to educate and inspire the public and future athletes in the benefits of Pole Sports and competitive pole.

ASHLEY WIGGINS: PRESIDENT

Ashley Wiggins is the Coach for the Brass Monkey Aerial Team in Fredericton, NB. Wiggins is also a POSA certified International master trainer, POSA International Head judge, Master Personal Trainer & Youth Fitness Trainer. Ashley is a highly competitive pole athlete with several national and regional medals. She last won gold at the 2017 USPSF National Pole Sport Championships in the Elite International Women's Category. Ashley has retired as an athlete after the 2017 season to focus on the growth of Pole sport and arts in Canada as the CPSAF president. Wiggins is currently finishing a year long independent study with the University of St. Thomas History department researching the history the pole sports. Wiggins plans to donate a condensed version of the final paper to POSA for use in educating athletes on pole sports and its influences. In the fall of 2020 Wiggins plans to release a book on the full and well researched history of the sport and its influences, which will include many primary sources. She hopes to grow pole within the youth community of Canada and ensure a long future for the sport as it moves closer towards Olympic goals. Ashley is also the founder of the Atlantic Aerial Art Championship Series which is an effort to help establish a solid growth of strong aerial competitors and athletes by allowing them the opportunity to begin competing early in their aerial career and establish a comfort for the stage. Wiggins is passionate about the sport and its future. This coming year the CPSAF will host the 2020 POSA Pole Art World Championships! This will be held at the Grant Harvey Centre in Fredericton NB with the support of Fredericton Sport Tourism.

Wiggins is a highly acknowledged performer and is a international touring award winning artist during off season from her family farming obligations. Wiggins plans to educate athletes and coaches towards a successful future with the endorsement of the POSA and support internationally from organizations like the US Pole Sports Federation and the Pole Championship Series. By building a team of internationally recognized trainers she believes Canada can have a strong team of athletes competing at the Elite International level in future years! This year wiggins plans to retire as the president of our organization to begin her farming business, post her graduation from St. Thomas. We would like to thank her for her contributions to our organization throughout the years! She will continue to coach the local Fredericton aerial team and professional athletes who seek her training programmes.

BRENT WIGGINS: VICE PRESIDENT

BRENT Wiggins is a Master Personal Trainer and POSA International Execution Judge, he is a well known and retired business man within Canada and the United States. Who made his way in the trucking and aviation industries, building companies to multi million dollar international successes. He works as the financial adviser with the CPSAF. His business experience allows the federation to grow professionally with the support of many years of experience. Wiggins is a former AAA Hockey coach with the Youth St. Thomas Tommies. Wiggins is also a retired pro stock driver with several wins. Carl enjoyed many years as a commercial pilot. He supports the Canadian Pole & Sports community and hopes to see this sport flourish in the coming years!

Nhu Trieu: Director of Marketing, Treasurer (contact with marketing requests, concerns, fees or players account questions)

Ms. Trieu has her BA of Science with a specialization in genetics from the University of Alberta, she is currently pursuing her masters at the University of New Brunswick. Nhu is a former Skate Canada coach with the following certifications: Gold level skating skills, Gold Level Dance, and senior silver free skating. Nhu is also a brown belt in Wing Chun at Chieu Lau Kung Fu college.   • Monique DeVillier: Aerial Sports Director (Aerial director works to help advise the CPSAF board members)

Monique is a cirque professional and owner of VIE DE CIRQUE school in Savannah Georgia. She is a highly acknowledged performer and is sought as a coach for aerial training. Monique is POSA certified national judge. Monique is also a former Bangarange and Daredevil circus instructor and has trained at the Performing Arts Academy of Savannah Georgia.


  • Alicia Munn: Medical Advisor & New Brunswick Fundraising Contact (Works closely with team Canada athletes and staff only.)

Alicia Munn is a Licensed Practical nurse in good standing with the NB Association of License Practical Nurses. She received her training from NBCC St. Andrew campus from 2008-2010. She has spent 8 years of my career at Dr. Everett Chalmers hospital working in a variety of settings. She has held positions in the following areas, family medicine, orthopedics, psychiatry, stroke and family medicine, as well as holding a float position that provided her experience In the Emergency Room, ICU, General Surgery, Geriatrics, and the rehabilitation unit. She is currently in a full time position at the Oromocto Public Hospital on the medical surgical unit. She has volunteered as a camp nurse at Green Hill lake camp for a variety of summer camps in the 2010-2012 season. cpsafmedicaladvisor@gmail.com
